This 1988 Porsche 911 Carrera is a classic sports car with a 3.2L air-cooled flat-6 engine, 5-speed manual transmission, and original black paint and black partial leather interior. It has a low mileage of just over 72k miles and features factory optional equipment such as a Blaupunkt AM/FM Cassette radio, cruise control, and electric sliding sunroof, as well as a front lower spoiler and rear “Whale Tail” spoiler. It has also been retrofitted with an air conditioning system and fitted with Polk Audio speakers and floormats. The current owner has installed refurbished BBS RS wheels with BF Goodrich tires and Bilstein shock absorbers. The car has recently had torsion bar bushings replaced, a precision four-wheel alignment, basic maintenance service, and an A/C inspection. It has also had a complete “engine-out” service with a new Sachs clutch, oil hose, belts, valve adjustments, and fluids, as well as ignition component replacements and a new clutch slave cylinder. This 911 Carrera is not currently on site, but is stored indoors in a private collection and viewing must be arranged by appointment.
This 1988 Porsche 911 Carrera is equipped with the desirable G50, 5-Speed Manual Transmission and the original 3.2L air-cooled flat-6 boxer style Porsche powerplant producing 217 hp and 195 lb.-ft. of torque. Finished in original black paint, with beautiful black partial leather interior, this 911 certainly does not show it’s age. Original factory optional equipment includes the Blaupunkt ‘Reno’ AM/FM Cassette Radio, Cruise Control, and an Electric Sliding Sunroof. It is also equipped with a front lower spoiler, and the famous “Whale Tail” rear decklid spoiler.
At just a hair over 72k miles, this 911 Carrera has been babied during the nearly 35 years it has spent on this planet. Along with the factory options and equipment, this 911 has been equipped with gold “CARRERA” graphics running down each side which give it a very “period correct” look. It has also been retrofitted with an Air Conditioning system which is a must-have for this hot Arizona climate. Additionally, it has been fitted with a set of Polk Audio Mobile Monitor speakers and a nice set of fitted floormats for both the front and rear seating positions. All features, accessories, gauges, and options are fully functional on this 911 Carrera, including the power windows, power seat adjustment features, power mirror adjustments, windshield wipers, headlights, turn signals and all other electrical and lighting features. Even the A/C and climate control functions are fully operational.
In place of the 16” Fuchs wheels that were part of the original factory equipment, the current owner has installed a set of freshly refurbished staggered BBS RS wheels in 16×7” for the front wheels and 16×8” for the rear wheels. These BBS RS wheels were originally manufactured in 1986, which makes them right at home on this Porsche 911 which has a birthday in September of 1987. They are a true 3-Piece wheel with gold finished aluminum centers which are bolted to painted inner and outer barrels and finished off with black hardware and polished outer lips. Topping off these RS wheels is a set of four matching center caps as well as an “official” BBS center cap removal wrench. Mounted on these BBS RS wheels is a full set of matching BF Goodrich G-Force Sport Comp-2 Tires with date codes from 2019. Complimenting the BBS wheels and BF Goodrich tires you will also find a set of recently replaced Bilstein Sport shock absorbers.
