2001 Audi RS4

2001 Audi RS4 Avant with 57k miles in “Audi Exclusive” Light Silver, not the standard Avus Silver that is commonly found on the B5 RS4, with Onyx/Black Leather Recaro Sport Seats. This RS4 has been legally federalized and imported into the US with an Arizona title in hand. This is your chance to own one of the absolute legends of Audi history before the prices skyrocket as the B5 RS4 approaches the 25-Year Old mark.

Based on the standard B5 Audi A4/S4 platform, the RS4 was only offered in the Avant configuration. Audi only produced about 6,000 RS4 Avants over it’s entire production run, and was never certified for the US-Market, making any B5 RS4 a very unique, and very rare sight to behold on any public US roadway. Although it may seem like the RS4 is equipped with the same 2.7L Twin-Turbo V6 engine that could also be found in the US-Market S4, and as an optional engine choice for the C5 Audi A6, the fact that it started out as the same basic 2.7L engine block is pretty much where the similarities between the S4, and the RS4 end.

The turbo-chargers equipped on the RS4 Avants Cosworth-developed 2.7L V6 engine are larger than the standard S4. The larger sized Borg Warner K04 turbos, along with larger intake ports, smaller exhaust ports, dished pistons, uprated conrods, bigger intercoolers, and a redesigned air-intake and exhaust system, resulted in a whopping 380hp which was exceptional 20+ years ago and is still pretty impressive by today’s standards.

Not only is the engine a significant improvement over the standard B5 S4, but even the body and interior are a significant step-up from what could be found on the US-Spec S4 Avant. At first glance, a B5 S4 Avant and a B5 RS4 Avant may look similar, however it doesn’t take long before you begin to notice the wider front fenders and rear quarter panels designed to accommodate the wider axle track and the larger 18” wheels, larger and more aggressive front and rear bumpers, designed to fit the oversized intercoolers and to produce a lower drag coefficient. It becomes very apparent that the RS4 Avant is a lot more car than the S4 Avant.

Inside this RS4 is another feature never offered on the B5 platform for the US-Market. The first thing you are likely to notice are the near perfect condition black leather interior seating surfaces wrapped around authentic Recaro Sport Seats in both the front and rear. Complimenting the Recaro seats is the optional carbon-fiber interior trim, and perforated leather-wrapped shift knob.

The importation and federalization process is exceptionally difficult, tedious and risky. Don’t miss your chance to pick up this completely US-Legal Audi B5 RS4 without going through all the hassle and expense on your own.

This RS4 does have a few very high quality upgrades including

– KW V3 Fully Adjustable Coilover System
– 19” Authentic BBS LM wheels wrapped in matching Continental Extreme Contact 265/30R19 tires (19×10 et22 all around)
– Kenwood MDV-3DT Double-Din Headunit
– Genuine OEM Audi All-Weather Floormats

This RS4 has recently been paint corrected and ceramic coated. It can be seen by appointment only.
